ABSTRACT

454 soil samples from 85 localities in "La Plana" Region have been studied in order to determine the influence of the plant pararasitic nematodes in citrus groves; 66 species from 33 different genera of agricultural interest have been found with an irregular frequency. The absence of some proved citrus parasitic nematodes is pointed out.

The relationships between these nematodes and different factors as soil conditions, plant age, vigour, variety, nutritional state, weeds presence and sampling season have been studied. The interest of knowing the influence of these factors on the dynamics of nematodes populations, as a basis for planning an integrated control, is remarked.
