ABSTRACT

In the last years, several exotic entomophagous species of citrus pests have been artificially introduced in various Mediterranean countries. Some of them have adapted better to weather conditions than indigenous parasites.

Introduced parasitoids reduces the populations of several important citrus pests-mainly coccids and aleurodids-to insignificant densities during large periods of year.

An increase of our knowledge on the use of entomophagous organisms - must continue if we want to achieve the best phytosanitary protection of citrus trees.
