ABSTRACT

The authors report on a 3-year study of the influence which the spraying of lemon trees with white mineral oil at 2 and at 3% in summer and/or winter has on the fruit production of the trees.

The experiments showed that there were no measurable differences in the quality and quantity of fruit produced between the treated and untreated trees, apart from small variations in the average weight of the fruit produced by treated trees with respect to their controls.
