ABSTRACT
Two systemic fungicides, Metalaxyl and Fosetyl aluminum, were compared with copper oxychloride and Captafol in the treatment of citrus brown rot. Soil and foliar treatments were effected.
Efficacy of fungicides on soil was evaluated using untreated lemon fruit as hosts to detect Phytophthora spp. Foliar sprays, meanwhile, were evaluated using treated fruit on untreated soil (Disease Potential Index known).
Appreciable results were obtained using Metalaxyl in soil and foliar treatments. Similar results were obtained using Captafol in foliar sprays.
