ABSTRACT

The challenge of replacing existing consumer goods with biodegradable alternatives is plastic waste and ecological imbalance. Biodegradable fibers and resin are widely accepted for the manufacture of natural fiber-reinforced polymer composites to combat the use of synthetic fibers and resin. Such composites are suitable for use in different manufacturing and trade sectors. Before applying a manufactured composite to different applications, it is very important to check its mechanical properties. This chapter deals with detailed mechanical characterization using different composite material techniques.
