ABSTRACT
By exploiting developments in new technology, the smart city is considered an intelligent civilization in the digital age. The increasing use of blockchain technology, in particular, has ushered in a new smart city ecosystem based on digital technology. From risk management and financial services to cryptocurrencies, and from the Internet of Things (IoT) to public and social services, a wide range of blockchain applications offer answers to issues. Furthermore, the combination of blockchain and Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology is transforming the smart into sustainable ecosystems. This chapter discusses various essential criteria for the confluence of blockchain and AI technology, which will aid in the formation of a sustainable and eco-friendly smart society. We go over blockchain security enhancements and summarize the major features that can be used to build various blockchain-AI-based intelligent transportation systems.
