ABSTRACT
Pleural infections are a common cause of pleural effusions. While bacterial infections and tuberculosis are common causes of pleural effusions, rare infections can be associated with an effusion. This rare case describes the presentation, diagnosis and management of leishmaniasis-related pleural effusion.
