A difficult-to-drain effusion

Nearly 15% of malignant pleural effusions can be septated. Septated malignant pleural effusions are associated with poorer survival and their management can be a dilemma for clinicians. This case demonstrates different modalities for the management of a septated malignant pleural effusion.
