Management of pleural effusion in a patient with known liver disease

Hepatic hydrothorax is usually encountered in end-stage liver disease and is associated with high morbidity and mortality. Management of hepatic hydrothorax can be challenging for clinicians, given the limited treatment options. This case describes the management of a patient with refractory hepatic hydrothorax.
