ABSTRACT
This chapter will review current understanding of accessory pathways as they relate to ablation in pediatric patients, including their description, embryology and clinical expression, the historical development of ablation as it is applied to children, approaches to electrophysiological mapping and diagnostic maneuvers in ablative studies, and ablation strategies for children with accessory pathway-mediated tachycardias.
