ABSTRACT
Use of fluoroscopy during pediatric ablations allows the electrophysiologist to understand patient anatomy and catheter positions. However, this imaging modality carries inherent risk to both patients and medical staff due to the harms of ionizing radiation. This chapter will review the fundamentals of how fluoroscopy works, how to mitigate its risks, and the technologies that may help reduce or eliminate its use.
