ABSTRACT

Hyperlipidemia is a condition well-characterized by an abnormal increase in lipids levels, and it is associated with an increased risk of various disorders such as obesity and cardiovascular disorders. The potential of fenugreek, seeds, powder, extract, and phytoconstituents against hyperlipidemia have been well reported in many animal experimental and human clinical studies. These anti-hyperlipidemic properties can be beneficial to maintain healthy lipid levels and manage lipid-related conditions such as obesity and prediabetes. The present chapter reviews the available evidence of dietary fenugreek, seeds, powder, extract, and phytoconstituents against primary hyperlipidaemic conditions.
