ABSTRACT

The potential of fenugreek and its phytoconstituents in alleviating inflammation and pain in general and specific organs, including the nervous system, has been published in numerous scientific studies. This chapter reviews the available evidence of the efficacy of fenugreek and its phytoconstituents in the management of neuroinflammatory conditions such as peripheral neuropathy, diabetic neuropathy, chemotherapy-induced neuropathy, neurodegenerative, and demyelination-induced neuroinflammatory disorders. The possible cellular and molecular mechanisms such as anti-inflammatory, antinociception, immunomodulation, neuroprotective, and antioxidant potential are also described.
