ABSTRACT

The term empowerment implies the transformation of authority and power by which a person has some control over the matters related to life and work, which can impact them directly. The contribution of female fraternity in the corporate is very closely related to the objective of consolidated social and economic development. Through empowerment, they are challenging the ideologies of patriarch society that is reinforcing and perpetuating gender discrimination. The redistribution of power and authority is enabling women for their livelihoods by contributing more in their homes and at the workplace. This chapter emphasizes the crucial position of females in decision making in family lives autonomy from a financial perspective, their access to education, and contribution to the growth of the nation. In the past decade, there is a feeble improvement in the status and well-being of the female employees; still, there is a huge gap between what is said and what is being done for the actual cause. In the recent scenario where the emphasis is laid on inclusive development, its mandate to heighten the awareness of what actually empowering a female employee means for a change of the economy, behavior, and values in the corporate.
