ABSTRACT

The unprecedented boom of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) like most disruption advances is energizing as well as frightening. It is energizing to consider all the innovative developments, from scheduling our calendars to make medical appointment and diagnoses, but it is frightening to think about the social and individual ramifications. As ML keeps on developing, we as a whole need to grow new aptitudes so as to separate ourselves. It has been quite some time realized that AI and automation/robotization may disrupt business environment and related workforces. Driverless vehicles will compel more than 5000 vehicle drivers to look for some other types of work, and automated generation lines like Tcsla's will keep on consuming assembling employments, at present they are twelve million and decreasing. Be that as it may, this is only the start of the disturbance. As AI enhances, which is going on rapidly, a lot more extensive arrangement of occupations will be affected. So, in the present scenario, it has become highly difficult to develop, gain, and maintain emotional intelligence (EI) in the era of AI which is creating highly volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous environment that has become new challenge for human resource department to develop new strategies and methods for sustaining EI in the era of AI. This chapter explores different issues with EI when AI is proliferating and a model is proposed that can be adapted by an employee for gaining and maintaining EI 264in the era of AI that can help employees to become emotionally stronger in this highly competitive world.
