ABSTRACT

This work pretends to leave clearly the basic concepts around of electrochemical nanostructured sensors, given a few examples of some papers published until 2019, going from the definitions of electrochemical sensors to practical applications of developed electrochemical nanostructured sensors fabricated with different nanomaterials also described.

The described nanomaterials are classified in five different kinds, carbon nanotubes, graphene, metal and metal oxide nanoparticles, biomolecules, and molecularly imprinted electrodes. The results described here left no doubts about the convenience when electrochemical techniques are selected, this compared to another typical analytical ways.
