ABSTRACT
The Internet of Things (IoT) and data mining are both powerful and prominent technologies of this century. They continuously improve the areas of business, economy, automation, science, governance, and various industries like health, retail, logistics, manufacturing, etc. The Internet of Things means the interconnection of anything and anyone with each other via the Internet. It is a very promising concept, since it opens the doors to many opportunities involving the things actually conversing with each other. With this power of communication, the things have become smarter. This results in a huge amount of data, demanding extraction of useful and interesting knowledge. Since data mining is capable of digging a large number of gold nuggets of knowledge from this garbage of data, a framework is proposed in this paper which conjugates these two techniques—IoT and data mining—together.
