ABSTRACT

Stress is a state of psychological compression for a person facing difficulties from ecological and societal factors. Stress not only affects adults, but impacts children of every age group. Managing stress properly is very difficult for children of smaller age groups, because parents do not have ample time for their children. The purpose of this research paper is to analyse the stress factors affecting a student's academic performance and to recommend some measures for the management of stress. For this purpose, a sample of 100 students (MBA program) was taken from private universities near Chandigarh by using a convenience sampling method. In order to achieve the objectives, a questionnaire consisting of nineteen different statements was randomly distributed among respondents. After collecting the responses of students, the results were analysed using SPSS.
