ABSTRACT
This chapter provides an outlook into the future of mobile visualization, in which we anticipate a growing emphasis on \emph{ubiquitous visualization}. Interviews were conducted with four renowned researchers who have explored data visualization in novel settings with new modalities and technologies that go beyond mobile devices. The interviews were synthesized to produce an overview of ubiquitous visualization research. The chapter reports on the discussions with our interviewees and distills important themes along with their visions for the future of ubiquitous data visualization. Scenarios for this emerging research area are discussed together with a reflection on the specific dimensions that go beyond mobile data visualization.
