ABSTRACT
Big Data is the answer to all the questions generated by data. It is also a major part of data science. This chapter will tell us all about big data, its properties, and its types, and will also deal with how big data tools can work to make data useful for industries. Big data can be structured, semi-structured, and unstructured, and all these forms of data can be defined on the basis of 5 V’s, which will tell us whether a data comes under big data or not. The details of 5 V’s will be discussed in this chapter along with the commands and various applications of big data. Big data also has its own challenges, which will help us create new tools and methods for performing big data analytics. Big data is the major source of making a vast and unsorted data into understandable and resourceful data, and these are explained in this chapter in detail.
