ABSTRACT

Digital penetration into the mobility of people and goods has become evident over the course of a decade. Everyone inquires travel conditions by consulting one or more mobile applications on their smartphone. In some recent cars, the dashboard has taken the form of a tablet computer. Innovative functions in mobility services and services for mobility are offered by actors from the digital world. The most radical changes concern the interactions between the transport supply and its customers. Digital technologies allow the development of multisided platforms, which are a fundamental component of on-demand transport services. The human population is now very large with a high standard of living. It has come to impact the climate of the planet, among other environmental impacts. Major industrial and logistical rationalisation has taken place gradually, and there has also been a massive expansion of industrial capacity across all the stages of the product life cycle.
