ABSTRACT

COVID-19 pandemic is the greatest challenge that mankind has faced since World War II. Governments in different countries attempt to create the responding policies including travel ban, social distancing, and working from home. This affects the tourism industry as both the tourists and the tourism entrepreneurs. This research aims to study the effects of this infectious pandemic to the destination choice and their intention to visit among Thai tourists. The researchers conducted a survey among 400 Thai tourists ages between 18 to 60 years old. The researchers used Pearson correlation method to analyze the data. The results show that Thai tourists will have more concern to travel to domestic destinations over international destinations after the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, and the Covid-19 outbreak has no effect on the intention to visit the destination.
