ABSTRACT

Metallophosphors comprising the metal complexes based on transition metals and earth-rare metals show the color-tunable properties and good performances in organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs). These complexes are formed by various metal centers and organic ligands, in which their optoelectronic properties and device performances can be finely improved by choosing the appropriate metals and chelating ligands with functionalized groups. This chapter discusses different classes of metallophosphors with the emission color spanning from deep-blue to near-infrared and their applications in OLEDs. The diversity and plenty of high-performance metallophosphors have demonstrated their broad prospects in the field of displays and lighting.
