ABSTRACT

To enhance reliability, a system should be such that it lasts as long as possible without faults. In maintainability, the emphasis is on designing an item so that a fault can be repaired as fast as possible and mitigated by introducing improvised fault mitigation techniques. By mitigation faults, we can enhance reliability that will save the power utilization in wireless sensor network (WSN). Reliability is a method to monitor the defects, which may cause software fault that behaves in a different manner with the prescribed environment. This chapter introduces a hybrid approach that will enhance the reliability and even minimize the fault effect in our system that can help to improve the battery performance. This will be the novelty of our work as previous algorithms are not much energy efficient. The nodes in WSNs function with limited, small battery power, which is usually nonrenewable resource. By detecting and mitigating faults, it gives better results that make our system reliable.
