ABSTRACT
The most significant aspect pertaining to the excellence of environment is water pollution. Because of various reasons, these days the eminence of surface as well as groundwater is waning. In various urbanized countries, the presence of pesticide in water has become a vital and concerning problem. As a known fact, pesticides were used and are still being used in order to elevate production of crops. Therefore, the important reason behind surface and groundwater pollution is intensive use of these pesticides. The most important aspects distressing pollution of water because of pesticides and their remainders comprise soil temperature, microbial activity, drainage, treatment surface, rainfall, submission speed, and also the mobility, solubility as well as half-life of the pesticides. In general, the image is not as miserable as a person might be thinking as the methodologies have been developed to make these vital water resources accessible currently and also in the near future. Due to the intimidation to these water systems and mechanisms, ones causing water pollution are now fully recognized and safety measures have been implemented to save the water from pollution. The possession of pesticide pollution on drinking water in India has been talked about in this chapter.
