ABSTRACT

Agriculture involves diverse fields that produce an enormous quantity of waste at a rapid rate. Improper disposal of waste can further degrade the health of the ecosystem by causing eutrophication and releasing greenhouse gases into the environment. Increasing reliability on the fertilizers not only elevates the production cost but can also have serious impacts on the quality of the environment. Waste from agriculture is mostly organic in nature, and with the help of a suitable technique, can be easily converted into a rich nutrient source for soil health. Agriculture waste like crop residue, weeds, food processing, livestock, and poultry waste has immense potential in enriching soil fertility. To lower nutrient deficiency of soils, it is important to rely on organic manure, which improves the crop yield and has no detrimental impact on the environment.
