ABSTRACT

Technological developments encourage teaching and learning activities in the classroom to adapt. One of the technologies developed to collaborate with class learning is Augmented Reality (AR). AR is a technology that combines cyberspace and the real-world using smartphones, tablets, or laptops. This study aims to explain mathematical material that is suitable to be combined with AR and how AR can help teachers explain the material in the classroom. The research method used is a literature review and the data analysis used is a scoping review study based on Arksey and O’Malley (2005). The findings of the scoping review are discussed concerning multiple dimensions that are explored under research questions. The results showed that AR is very suitable to be developed in geometrical material but it does not close the possibility to be developed in different materials such as vectors, algebra, and others.
