ABSTRACT

The quality of teachers plays an important role in determining the success of students. Prospective teachers must have a good understanding of the basic skills of teaching. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct research and development computer-based assessment which is not only able to assess the prospective teachers but also can assist the prospective teachers to understand the basic skills of teaching better. Computer-based assessment consisting of a true-false quiz with three levels, the learning material, and video simulation. Each level consists of five questions about the basic skills of teaching with different duration of work. Research and development were done by using the model research of ADDIE. The results of test validation by experts showed that the media developed is very decent with a percentage of 87.75 %. The results of limited testing show that the media is very practical with a percentage of 78.29%. This shows that the media ratings that have been developed can be used without revision. The selection of Microsoft Power-Point in developing computer-based assessments is expected to motivate the prospective teachers to be able to develop the computer-based assessment independently.
