ABSTRACT

This chapter presents the basic introduction of ubiquitous computing. It describes the application of ubiquitous computing in healthcare. Ubiquitous computing in the management of mental health problems is discussed. The chapter explains ubiquitous computing and its remedial prospect for mental health disorders. It discusses current trends of ubiquitous computing in mental health. The chapter also explains the authentication and evaluation of apps for psychological disorders. The field of psychiatry and psychology already has huge technological support in the form of many machines, equipment, and tests for the detection, identification, management, treatment, and rehabilitation of persons with psychological disorders. The chapter also discusses the future prospects of ubiquitous computing in mental healthcare. Ubiquitous computing in mental healthcare and its challenges and problems are also explained.
