ABSTRACT

The economic development of a nation depends on education and health, which are the biggest challenges before any government to achieve. Health is the backbone of any society. The recent experience of the pandemic disaster critically points fingers at inefficient and ineffective global preparedness regarding health infrastructure and resource mobilization. The situation becomes detrimental in the developing and underdeveloped nations with huge populations. It is next to impossible to create adequate physical infrastructure for every citizen of the country particularly in the critical juncture of emergency and pandemic uncertainty and volatility. There are minuscule attempts on expediting e-health solutions worldwide. This is high time to revamp our traditional health policy. It is imperative to strengthen and popularize the electronic health ecosystem as a corollary to the improvised physical healthcare infrastructure. This chapter will recommend appropriate health reforms so that the state can fulfill its commitments for achieving health-indicative United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs).
