ABSTRACT

This chapter focuses on a conceptual planning project aimed at educational gaming opportunities for the youth in Parramore, a west-central neighborhood of Orlando. The Oakland arena demonstrates the attractiveness of E-sport arenas for millennials and commercial revenue. In the technical specifications, HyperX provides top-notch level gamer-friendly design while meeting the primary needs of casino visitors. The project team leader, Derek Watford, is co-founder of High-Point Gamer Co. and an E-sport consultant. Watford was the first developer for this project and has supported several related gaming/community groups. Dominique Cobb is the project’s outreach specialist with vast experience in youth education. Cobb also contributed deep statistical and community analysis. The team sought a project that would benefit both the local community and economic development. VR is currently one of the most novel technologies on the market. While VR technology has been around since the 1960s, it is gaining a stronger foothold due to improved hardware and stand-alone equipment.
