ABSTRACT
eOffice is an integral part of the Digital India movement intending to strengthen governmental decision-making machinery by extending the use of modern information and communications technology to the government process. It is an important breakthrough and a medium to achieve simplified, responsive, effective, transparent, and eco-friendly ways of working in government offices. It is being adopted at a pan-India level from central government ministries and departments to state secretariats, district governments, and several public-sector undertakings, boards, and directorates. This chapter highlights the digital transformational journey of eOffice in governance.
