ABSTRACT

The applications of nanotechnology in agriculture include nano-fertilizers to increase plant growth and yield, nano-pesticides for pest and disease management, and nano-sensors for monitoring soil quality and plant health. The integration of biology and nanotechnology has greatly increased the potential to sense and identify environmental conditions or impairments. To replenish the declining agricultural sector, modern technologies such as biotechnology and nanotechnology can become farmer friendly by enhancing and improving the quantity and quality of food. Nanotechnology operates at the nanoscale by applying both physical and chemical methods for nanoparticle blend. The role of nanotechnology in other fields provides sufficient shreds of evidence that it could be a novel approach in agriculture. Precision agriculture means everything that makes agriculture farming highly accurate and controlled when it comes to the growing of crops and maintaining livestock. The nanotechnology research initiative in Thailand reported this study in which rice DNA was rearranged by inserting a nitrogen atom.
