ABSTRACT

In this chapter, it is clearly seen how the design of renewable energy sources [29-30] is taking place. If there is the occurrence of a fault in a single-grid network, then there will be a complete shut down, but this is prevented by breaking a single-grid system into microgrids. So, designing renewable energy sources is very important. This chapter clearly shows each and every model simulated in software; its waveforms; and the process of how, in a practical way, this implementation [31-32] is done. Though there are many renewable energy sources, this chapter focuses on solar and wind power generation, which are considered the basic sources of supply. To obtain maximum power, maximum power point tracking algorithms [33] are also briefly explained. Detailed theories of every model, along with its waveforms, are clearly explained and discussed in this chapter.
