ABSTRACT

Biometric features quickly became a crucial tool for the authentication of Internet of Things (IoT) surveillance system products. In this chapter, we summarize the factors that prevent the development and large-scale implementation of biometric models, including human physiological and behavioral (gait recognition) models. Biometric characteristics are rapidly becoming the key to IoT authentication. Numerous deep learning methods are built for IoT devices via authentication and authorization schemes. Threat models and countermeasures for IoT applications are often implemented by biometric authentication schemes. We are investigating the latest futuristic mixtures based on biometrics. We conclude our work on the basis of current taxonomy with a range of obstacles for future research in the biometric IoT monitoring authentication method.
