ABSTRACT

Intelligent farming includes supporting the farmer and their professional network, production management, and yield-related knowledge. Due to the digitization of farming scenarios, the handling and managing of intensely complex information are growing. Decision-support is, therefore, a central issue in smart farming. This chapter will discuss how such optimized information is fed as input or output to decision-making systems (DSS) to produce smart actions in improving agricultural outcomes. Furthermore, this chapter also introduces the features and workings of an intelligent DSS.
