“Garden cities” along railway lines in Saint Petersburg

The article addresses the formation of a “garden city” system along railways of Saint Petersburg in the late 19^th – early 20^th centuries. Three types of “garden settlements” forming this system are considered: stations that appeared in historical “garden cities”; stations that appeared in populated places that had not had any “garden city” criteria before their appearance; stations that appeared in unpopulated areas.
