ABSTRACT

This article presents the results of studying the problem of improving the efficiency of energy conversion in construction equipment power units. Improving the efficiency of power units in construction is ensured by reducing friction losses in all operating conditions when using one of the most important operating materials to prolong their service life — engine oil. The completed experimental and theoretical studies in this area show that the developed technical solutions allow for the substantial reduction of friction losses and the improvement of economic and environmental parameters as well as reliability in all operating conditions of power units. Consequently, oil quality control ensures optimized oil viscosity, reduced hydraulic losses at inlet and outlet, and may promote a significant reduction of mechanical losses.
