ABSTRACT

A solution to the problem of evaluating the quality of adhesive joints of mosaic products made of amber (succinite) is proposed. Method. To study the strength characteristics of adhesive joints, the method of cutting adhesive joints was used. Zwick/Roell Z100 equipment was used for the research. The subject of the study was samples of amber (Kaliningrad, Russian Federation) as a decorative material; ceramics, marble, aviation plywood, carbon fiber as a base and polyvinyl acetate, epoxy adhesives, five variants of wax-vanifol mastic as adhesives. Main results. The data of strength characteristics of adhesive joints in artistic mosaic products are presented in comparison. It is established that in the manufacture and restoration of mosaic products as adhesives, the use of reversible wax-cauliflower adhesives is a priority, and aviation plywood is the most acceptable base. Practical significance. The proposed method may be of interest for research into the processes of manufacturing and restoration of artistic mosaic products.
