ABSTRACT

Industry 4.0 essentially refers to smart manufacturing plants with connected physical devices, which can communicate with each other, exhibiting increased efficiency with access to real time insights and the capability of triggering actions with minimal human involvement. It has become the trending omnipresent term today due to its impact on a wide arena of industries, ranging from healthcare to manufacturing. A broad range of industries is reaping the benefits of Industry 4.0 in terms of increased productivity, efficiency, reduced costs, and real-time decision making. So it has made all this possibilities. It is all owing to the proliferation of connected Internet of Things (IoT) devices and the confluence of human augmentation technologies that include artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, data analytics, cognitive technologies, high computing capabilities, and augmented reality.
