ABSTRACT

Gamification, especially board games, is one of methods that is popularly used in the education world. However, the studies that measure the effectiveness of board games as apparatus for learning and changing attitudes and behaviors are still limited. Therefore, the researchers conducted this research to prove whether a board game can achieve a certain level of attitude toward teamwork and the components of attitude toward teamwork, which are affection, behavior, and cognition. This research was designed to measure the effectiveness of board games by comparing the pretest and posttest results in experimental research methods by involving 49 participants. Then, the results of comparison showed that gamification, especially board games effectively give a positive significant improvement in attitude toward teamwork and attitude components.
