ABSTRACT

Digital entrepreneurship is an effort to use information technology for businesses, in which entrepreneurs utilize digital platforms in commercial activities to connect with customers, develop products, and renew services. This study describes leather entrepreneurs’ perception about platform as a strategy in digital entrepreneurship. The results of data analysis showed that the respondents had good perceptions about plat-form. They could select, manage, store, and interpret platform. The adoption of digital entrepreneurship by leather entrepreneurs was facilitated by the use of internet, ICT knowledge, prior knowledge and education, family environment, personal needs, easy internet access, media, and programming experts. Leather entrepre-neurs used platform as a strategy to adopt digital entrepreneurship.
