ABSTRACT
The article highlights the features of the monuments of wooden architecture in the North of Russia. Understanding the principles of construction and shaping is the foundation of restoration. The features of folk architecture are listed. It is proposed to get acquainted with the experience of the methodological approach to the restoration of the unique object of the 40-meter, 22-chapter wooden church on the island of Kizhi. The estimated parameters for the restored elements and methods of working with them are listed.
