ABSTRACT
The world has been locked in a battle with the SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) virus since 2019. In the ensuing course of the disease, misinformation, faulty science, politicization of the pandemic, erratic public health responses, a lack of coordination of care recommendations, and an ongoing battle between front-line healthcare providers and academic experts have prevented a cohesive response to the pandemic. In this chapter, we will explore the biology, pathophysiology, prevention, laboratory evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of COVID-19 from an integrative approach using verified data and evidence-based recommendations with a focus on integrative strategies.
