ABSTRACT

This research is focused on the students in the city of Jakarta to analyze the effect of financial literacy, financial attitudes, and parental income on personal financial management behavior in students both partially and simultaneously. The technique carried out to collect the data was using a questionnaire distributed to 400 students in the city of Jakarta. The statistical method used is the t test and F test. This study also used multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the study stated that there is a significant influence among financial literacy, financial attitudes, and parental income to personal financial management behavior. Individually, financial literacy and financial attitudes have a significant influence on personal financial management behavior. However, parental income does not have a significant influence on personal financial management behavior of students in the city of Jakarta.
