ABSTRACT

The development of mountain tourism in the Garut District still needs to be considered by tourism managers and local governments. This study aims to analyze factors affecting tourist visits to Mount Talaga Bodas. This study applied a survey method by distributing questionnaires to 135 tourists who had visited Mount Talaga Bodas. Then, the collected data were analyzed using exploratory factor analysis and software. The result shows that 4 new factors out of 14 factors tested are produced including factors of attraction, factors of knowledge and memory, factors of experience, and factors of the environment. This research is expected to provide input for the future development of tourism objects, especially Mount Talaga Bodas.
