ABSTRACT
We summarized collected material and literature data on planktonic copepods of freshwater and brackish water of Sakhalin. A short annotated list of taxa is presented, including pelagic Calanoida, Cyclopoida, and parasitic Ergasilida, whose planktonic stages are common. We examined copepod distribution in the reservoirs of the island and adjacent waters and briefly compared the fauna of Sakhalin and Hokkaido.
