ABSTRACT

In practice, face masks tend to be a group of daily supplies for people’s life. The microenvironment between mouth and face masks was complicated, where the excess moisture increased the unconformable feeling. The moisture harvesting was associated with the surface chemistry of the substrate, the thermal equilibrium among the drop, substrate, and environment, and the structure of the substrate. The process of the successful moisture harvesting system included dropwise condensation and water transfer. Although there were few studies related to the niche topic, the review was aimed to inspire the design of the practical face masks from the other basic studies.
