ABSTRACT

In the past over seventy years since the founding of the New China, great achievements have been made in the compulsory education. The acceleration of industrialization and urbanization gives rise to a normal of peasants going to cities as rural migrant workers. They also take to the cities their children whose need for education has posed a severe challenge for the equal access to education in China. Currently in the crucial period for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, meeting the rural migrant workers’ children need for equal access to compulsory education is of great significance for the rapid development of the compulsory education, the promotion of modernization and eventually the realization of the Chinese dream.
