ABSTRACT

By calculating the Revealed Comparative Advantage Index (RCA) at different levels like regional area level, country level, industry segment level and industry segment link level, this paper seeks for the countries with outstanding competitive advantages from the areas with extraordinary industry capabilities. Based on that, we focus on advantageous industries in the target countries and further subdivide the industries into different links to precisely locate the trade complementary points for high-tech industry cooperation with countries along the Belt and Road. On the basis of the analysis results, policy implications for facilitating the trade cooperation with strong industry capability countries along the route are addressed.
